Vince is an absolute legend. He went above and beyond in welcoming the Mini Globe Race fleet to Durban in November 2025. Prior to arrival he set up a WhatsApp group for all the sailors full of information. He advised on registration with OSASA (he is also OSASA director), arranged berthing, guest passes for the MGR sailors at the Royal Natal Yacht Club, organised extra meals, and early breakfasts for the sailors, met each sailor on their arrival at the pontoon with a beer , organised a joint OCC/OSASA Braai (BBQ) in celebration of the MGR with lots of guests, provided lots of forward contacts for the journey to Cape Town, organised country flags for each sailor to sign in the club house and was an all - round nice guy. Even after the fleet left Durban he continues to be in touch and is available for advice and contacts. He couldn't have done more to welcome and help the fleet.
