In the summer of 2022, between his sophomore and junior years of high school, Cal Currier completed a 3,400-nautical-mile journey in 28 days from Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts, to Lagos, Portugal. The trip may have made Currier the youngest person to have completed the west-to-east Atlantic crossing alone.
