for their ten years (1989–1999) as Membership Secretaries, during which they helped rescue the OCC from a serious financial deficit and transform it into a thriving club with a 'true' membership of more than 1500, in which more than 99% of members' subscriptions were collected. Their highly professional approach to the job was, at the same time, always personal and friendly. The award also recognises their significant contributions to getting the OCC’s fledgling website up and running.
