Daria Blackwell

Daria Blackwell has held numerous positions in the OCC since she joined in 2011. First she was co-opted onto the Strategy Team and was elected to the General Committee. She took over PR, instituted a style guide, wrote a marketing plan and created support materials including brochures, flyers, ads, PowerPoint presentations and boat show displays. Other roles included co-Chairmanship of the Awards Committee and organisation of the annual AGM and Awards dinner. She also became Web Editor and, as Rear Commodore, assumed responsibility for the Club's social media presence. During her tenure as Vice Commodore, Daria led the OCC's pandemic response in the Atlantic, for which the OCC was awarded the Royal Cruising Club's Medal for Services to Cruising - 2020.
