Northwest Passage attempts set to be record-breaking for 2017

The Northwest Passage appears to be record breaking for attendance in 2017 with already 9 sail boats contesting. Among them are two OCC members, Charlie Simon (USA) and Lore Haack-Vörsmann (GER) on two different vessels.

"Only yesterday, we had a visit in Toronto of the crew of "Nomad" (AUT) who needed help to continue their passage from Inuvik west to Alaska. I invited them for lunch and then, in my studio, we dissected every item to make it safe," says Victor.

The OCC recognized Victor Wejer with the 2016 OCC Award of Merit for his unselfish and outstanding service, his extensive advice to international Arctic sailors, and his remote support of yachts sailing the Northwest Passage.
