As luck would have it the timing was perfect to explore the swirling waters of the Scotland's great tidal races fully powered up with the spring flood. With a hefty diesel inboard at our disposal we played the afternoon away in the Corryvreckan whirlpool and the mighty Grey Dogs waterfall bringing smiles to the faces of some of the OCC's saltiest Members.

Dinner followed at the local pub and the next day the sun defied the weather forecast and the BBQ chef fed the crowd on a picture perfect afternoon. Overlooking Craobh Haven, Ali and Derrick provided after dinner musical entertainment.

Convivial conversations with friends, old and new, were followed by an exemplary performance by Bob Shepton with his enthralling account of extreme rock climbing in the Arctic from the long suffering Dodo's Delight.

We waved off the last of the crowd after breakfast the next day and the rain arrived but, through the approaching mist, we glimpsed David Tyler's diminutive junk rig ghosting north across the bay for a summer of Highland adventure. A wonderful weekend with inspirational people as one would expect with the OCC.
