How to Join the OCC
To become a Full Member of the OCC you have to have completed a non-stop ocean passage of at least 1000 nautical miles as skipper or member of the crew in a vessel under 70 ft (21.3m) LOA.
Alternatively you can join as an Associate Member. You need to have a serious interest in blue water cruising and intend to make a qualifying passage in the coming three years.
In either case you should be proposed by a Full Member of the OCC; an application will also be considered by the Committee if supported by a letter from some person of standing, such as a Flag Officer of a recognised Yacht Club, senior Naval Officer, Consular official, etc.
The application for full or associate membership is available on 2 pages of A4 paper which can be obtained by clicking on Membership Application Form and printing from the new window. This is an Adobe Acrobat file and will require Adobe software to open.
