TERMS AND CONDITIONS for THE USE OF THE CLUB WEB SITE.

The information on this site is provided by OCC members for the use of other OCC members. Most of the information contained in the site has been contributed by OCC amateur yachtsmen based upon their personal experiences. The OCC can provide no certainty, nor warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of the information within or addressed by this site. In particular, where safety of navigation is an issue, mariners are advised to make the normal independent checks of a prudent seaman in respect of any information obtained from this site.

1. Responsibility of Authors

Authors are responsible for what they write on this site. We reserve the right to delete material and close accounts in the event that material being entered on this site is considered in the OCC’s sole view to be inappropriate.

2. Copyright

Information published in the Member’s Password Protected section of the OCC Web Site is intended for personal use by members only. The copyright in the material contained in this Web Site belongs to the OCC or to individual authors and other third parties as specified within the site. Any OCC member may copy any part of this material, subject to the following conditions:

• reproduction in any form or use for commercial purposes is expressly forbidden without the written consent of the Committee.

Most of the information contained in the site has been contributed by amateur yachtsmen. In particular, the OCC Cruising Information Service (”CIS”) is primarily comprised of reports from OCC amateur yachtsmen and is intended only for use by OCC members. The date given in a report is the date that the member supplying the information visited the place and, even if it was accurate at the time it was submitted, the information may have changed at any time since.

Any person who chooses to rely on any information contained in or linked to this site does so at his own risk. The OCC has taken no steps to verify the information. The OCC does not represent nor warrant that the information contained in the CIS section nor this Web Site more generally is in any way accurate, comprehensive, verified or complete. Where safety of navigation is an issue, mariners are advised to make the normal independent checks of a prudent seaman in respect of any information obtained from this site.

The OCC does not warrant that the functions or materials accessible from or contained in this Web Site will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected or that this Web Site or the servers that makes it available are virus or bug free. The OCC does not warrant the full functionality, accuracy, reliability of the materials.

4. Links to Other Web Sites

Certain (hypertext) links will lead you to websites that are not under the control of The OCC. When you activate any of these links, you will leave the OCC Site. The OCC has no control over and will accept no responsibility or liability in respect of the material on any such other website. By allowing links with third party websites the OCC does not intend to solicit business or offer any security to any person in any country, directly or indirectly.

The information on this site is as up to date as the time the relevant information was contributed. The OCC has no obligation to nor will it maintain or keep current any information on this site.

The OCC reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to remove or cease to supply any information contained on this Web Site. In the event that such removal takes place we shall not be liable to you in any way whatsoever for such removal.

These Terms and Conditions and any terms and conditions relating to products or services described in this Web Site shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Disputes arising in relation to the same shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
