We are hoping to leave our boat in Panamarina while visiting UK for approx. a month over this coming Christmas and New Year. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience of this place in terms of security etc. We are hoping to go through the canal spring 2009 so it could be a very convenient place.

We, my husband John Andrews and myself, have left our boat Qwyver in Grenada for the hurrican season and are back in UK till November. Our plans are also to go through the Panama Canal in February 2009. We plan on visiting the ABC islands, Colombia and the islands off Venezuela on our way to the Panama. You have obviously been in this area recently, can you recommend any particular places you particularly liked. Also was there anywhere you felt unsafe or just did not like?
Until we bought Qwyver we have always owned Sadler boats. How long have you had the Starlight 39? May we have met you at any Sadler Rallies on the Solent?
I look forward to hearing your views on your travels in this area and perhaps meeting up in distant parts.
