Well, I had a fun cruise to Guyana and back. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen family commitments, I'm now without any company on the boat, so anybody interested in a cruise from Grenada to the ABCs , Colombia and Panama?
I should be leaving Trinidad around the 10th November, spending about a week in Grenada then westward.
I'm writing this in Chagauramas Bay, Trinidad. Back in the water after about 7 weeks ashore ~ a very expensive refit, but I've got the boat pretty much the way I want it.
The plan now is to sail over to Tobago in a couple of weeks, then down to Guyana for about a month, then meander back up to Grenada (with a wary eye on the NOAA hurricane site) before setting out for Colombia & Panama, hoping to transit in early March 2010.

At the moment in Puero Calero, Lanzarotte. Had a great trip so far, with not too many 'adventures' en route. I'll be visiting the UK for about 10 days, then back out to the boat. The plan remains to cross to barbados on 2nd Jan, cruise the Caribbean for the season then wend slowly westwards towards Panama.
As always, more on my blog

Left Guernsey in June (08). Had a pleasant overnight sail to L'Abervrac, rested up and on to Cameret. An uneventful Biscay crossing followed (my first single-handed) only slightly marred by the wind turning unfavourable in the last 12 hours or so. The plan was to make straight for Muros, but in the event I dropped into La Coruna for a couple of days, then followed my 13 year old footsteps (the last time I did this trip in a boat of my own) stopping off at Laxe, Camarinas and finally Muros. Well, I'm sitting in Thornham marina (nr Emsworth). Had almost all the warranty work done on the boat, this afternoon hoping to fit single-line reefing system (talk about leaving things until the last minute!).
This coming weekend off to Poole for a catamaran rally, then Monday/Tuesday back out to Guernsey for my last innoculation, a couple of small jobs and then...... SARF....blimey, can't believe it's all happening. I won't say it's all coming together because there's a couple of last minu... (59 more chars)
At the moment I'm living onboard in Beaucette Marina, Guernsey, putting finishing touches to the boat (a Broadblue 385) for extended cruising. I finish work with Aurigny at the end of April 08 and am heading South (unless of course I head NW to Cork!). I've got a web diary up and running
